Engine, Specs  and Performance

Under the hood of the new Dart, you will find different power
trains depending on the trim level. The base trim (SE) will be
driven by a 2.0 L inline 4-cylinder engine that delivers 160
horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be paired
with a six-speed automatic transmission system as standard but
there will be an optional six speed automatic transmission
system. This engine will have an expected consumption of 25mpg
for city, 36mpg for highway and 29 combined for the
manual-shift while the automatic will have 24,34 and 27 for
city, highway and combined respectively.

The 2016 Dart Aero makes a return with a 1.4 L turbocharged I4
engine under its hood. Similarly, this engine will be paired
with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission
system. This Aero trim will have an impressive fuel economy of
28/41/32 for city, highway and combined when paired with the
manual transmission system and 28/40/32 city/highway/combined
with the automatic transmission system.

The other trims i.e. the Dart SXT, GT, and Limited will have a
2.4-liter atmospheric aspirated I4 engine with a standard
six-speed manual transmission although a six speed auto
transmission will be available as an option.  This engine
will have an estimated 23/33/27 city/highway/combined with a
manual six-speed transmission system, and 22/31/26
city/highway/combined with an automatic six-speed transmission
system. This variant of the 2016 Dodge Dart with automatic
