2016 Dodge Viper Roadster Review, Specs

2016 Dodge Viper Roadster will look pretty much the same as the
normal Dodge Viper  2015 with its roof removed and
replaced with a soft top fully hidden under the metal hatch
behind the seats. Photos of the new Viper 2016 still have
not been officially published, so we show you some render

2016 Dodge Viper Convertible Exterior

The modified exterior design of the Viper Roadster is based on
the Medusa concept, and it brings some changes compared to the
Coupe version. It received an aggressive, sporty look and air
vents, which should speed up the engine cooling

The Viper car will feature an automatic, push-button, gentle
roof, which along with the use of lightweight materials reduces
weight of the vehicle by 40%. The company decided to use parts
of which at least 75% comes from the U.S., thus saving money on
production costs and repairs.

Dodge Viper 2016 Interior

Interior wise, 2016 Roadster has the same luxury interior as
the Coupe, with no real changes. The only difference is that
this time more attention was paid to passenger safety, so an
innovation is a rollover safety cage that pops out if it senses
the car rolling over.

The new Dodge Viper has two seats upholstered in leather.
The steering wheel is small but incredibly precise, which is
obligatory for a vehicle like this.

The room is designed and packed so well, that both the driver
and the passenger will feel as if they’re riding in a rocket.

Dodge Viper Engine and Specs

2016 Dodge Viper Roadster will be using a modified version of
the 8.4-liter V10 which has been the largest engine for years.
Delivering 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, it’s
one of the most powerful aspirated engines in the world. The
engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel
drive. The Viper Roadster is a front-mid engined car, hence
50/50 weight distribution. This makes it good on bendy and fast
roads, and thanks to Brembo brakes and independent suspension,
it’s able to easily outrun most cars.

The chassis mostly remains the same, due to the fact that the
Coupe model already had most of the supporting strut installed.

As for the performance, the vehicle is able to accelerate 0-60
mph in 3.4 s, with the top speed of 205 mph.

Price and release date

The new Viper Roadster is to be released in the second half of
this year and it will cost about $95,000, a bit less in
comparison to its competitors. Dodge decided to release the
Viper with the introduction of the Corvette Convertible which
offers similar specs at a lower price. When Dodge Viper is for
sale, many customers will not watch price than the Viper buy
with a heart.
