2016 Infiniti QX60

The Infiniti QX60 was introduced in 2013 as Infiniti JX which
was later changed to its current name in 2014. The model was
produced to propel the automaker into the family-friendly
crossover SUV market.

The vehicle is getting a mid-cycle refresh to help keep it
focused on competing with old and emerging competitors.

2016 Infiniti QX60 Exterior

Exterior styling comes unchanged from the outgoing model except
for some cosmetic changes which were aimed at aligning the QX60
with other members of the Infiniti lineup like the Q70
and Q50.

At the front, the SUV has received a much needed nose job.
There is a new bumper which is mounted lower than on the
current model; the bumper also features a pair of C-shaped
pieces. The front also features a redesigned, bolder and larger
spindle grille integrated with mesh inserts. The grille is
flanked by redesigned LED headlights which look longer and thin
than those on the outgoing model.

At the back, the QX60 SUV features a modified bumper which sits
lower and redesigned taillights which are more angular. A
closer look reveals a thick chrome slab trim on the trunk lid
that connects the taillights.

The exterior will feature two additional colors which are jade
green and hagane as well as new alloy wheel patterns. Overall,
the SUV looks more aggressive and solid compared to the
outgoing model.

The 2016 Infiniti QX60 will be availed in a single trim level
but with 7 optional packages that give buyers an opportunity to
customize some of the features.

Gone is the cloth upholstery in the outgoing entry level
models. It has been replaced with Alcantara leather with higher
packages featuring genuine leather upholstery. The SUV will
accommodate 7 passengers spread over its three-row seating
plan. All passengers will have plenty of head and leg room.

The dashboard features soft- touch materials and contrast
stitching. The center console and the shifter have also been
modified.  The automaker has introduced acoustic glass on
the cabin and retuned engine mounts to reduce noise, vibration
and harassment. New springs and dampers will reduce chances of
body roll and lead to a better ride quality.

The cabin also features a 3-zone automatic climate control, USB
ports on each row and five screens, one mounted at the front
and others behind the first and second rows. For safety, it
comes with a package of driver aids and other safety features
like ABS, parking assist, collision warning and lane change
warning among others. It also comes with a telematics system
and a 24-hour concierge.
