2017 Infiniti QX70

The Infiniti QX70 was first released in 2003. Back then, going
by the FX moniker, the luxury model from Nissan’s luxury brand
used to rule the new luxury crossover market segment.  Its
unique exterior profile made it outstanding among the
competition. However, the segment has since been overcrowded as
automakers strive to get a piece of it. In a bid to take back
the helm of the segment once more, Infiniti has hooked its QX70
crossover with extensive redesign including a special package.

The special package makes it the second Infiniti model ever to
get a Limited package. The new model dubbed the 2017 Infiniti
QX70 Limited made its public debut at last month’s New York
Auto show. The new styling cues introduce new exclusivity to a
model that was becoming a bit rusty.

2017 Infiniti QX70 Exterior

The grille is the most noticeable feature on the QX70 Limited.
The grille is similar to that of the standard QX70 but unlike
the standard model’s chromed horizontal louvers, the new grille
features a black honeycomb mesh featuring the Infiniti emblem
at the center.

We understand that this design will expand to the rest of the
QX70 lineup. Its fog lights have also been altered. The new
lights are horizontal in shape and feature LED lighting. In
comparison, the fog lights on the standard model are

On the sides, you will notice that the side mirrors are darker
while the side vents on the front fenders are body-colored. At
the back, the vehicle features LED taillights that complement
the vehicles gray exterior color. There is a “LIMITED” badge on
its rear hatch. Other features are similar to those of the
standard model. The QX70 Limited rides on a new set of
multi-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels covered in all-season
265/45-series tires.

2017 Infiniti QX70 Interior

The cabin of the 2017 Infiniti QX70 has a special styling
compared to standard models. The interior has a Graphite and
Stone color theme. This theme features a dark graphite color
while stone colored inserts are fitted on armrests, on the
center of the seats as well as outside the edge of the seats.
Its leather seats also feature a stone-colored stitching.

The seat inserts feature diamond-shaped quilting. Stone
stitching is also featured on the shifter and steering wheel
which are wrapped in leather. The seats are heated and cooled
as a standard feature.

The QX70 Limited also comes with other excellent features
available on standard QX70 models including a large
infotainment screen display, a premium sound system and
connectivity features. Connectivity features include Bluetooth
and Smartphone integration. Its infotainment system supports
both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle also features
a dual-zone climate control and cruise control.

For safety, traction control and stability control, as well as
ABS, come as standard features. The vehicle also features a
full package of driving aids such as parking assist, lane keep
assist, lane-change assist, and blind spot monitoring among

Engine Specs

Sadly, there are no upgrades on its drive-train.   I
think Infiniti should have used a V-8 mill for this
model.  The model still features the same engine as the
standard QX70.

The mill is a 3.7 L V-6 which puts up an impressive 325 hp and
267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed
automatic transmission system. Buyers will have an option for
either RWD or AWD.

Price and release date

Infiniti didn’t disclose the model’s price during its public
debut at the New York Auto Show. The automaker, however,
quipped that enthusiasts should expect the model in Infiniti
dealerships this summer.  As for the price, it won’t come
cheap; as such expect to pay over $ 47,000 to get your hands on
its wheels.

As said earlier, this segment is very crowded. The new Infiniti
QX70 Limited 2017 will have to contend with other impressive
luxury crossovers. They include the likes of Porsche Cayenne,
Land Rover Range Rover Sport and BMW X6
to name just but a few.
