Lexus LF-C2 Concept Review, Release Date

The first impression of the Lexus LF-C2 is really glossy. Jaw
dropping, impressive, outrageous and such like adjectives is
what I would like to award the car. This is my judgment upon
seeing the yellow concept that was recently unleashed.

The designers say that this is the direction the styling
department has committed to. However, to the hardcore Lexus
fans out there, one cannot help but notice that this is the RC
350 coupe turned up to eleven.

Lexus LF-C2 Exterior

The exterior is what gets your attention when you have a first
look. Okay, the yellow has a bit to with that but, mostly
because of it futuristic design. How they are planning to put a
lid on it is entirely a mystery. From the front, the wide grill
still gets the attention. It is spindle-shaped with refined
mesh that sort of changes appearance when looked at from
different angles and lighting conditions. The familiar triangle
shaped headlights are also present on this one.

The general shape of the car is set to reflect that of an
arrow, with the character line starting with the stylish
indicator lamps. The Lexus LF-C2 has small front air vents
that help in cooling the brakes as well as maintain stability
at high speeds. The back has similarities to the infamous LFA
with L-shaped tail lights. To further its character, it has
been fitted with 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.

Lexus LF-C2 Interior

The interior screams of sport luxury. The Lexus LF-C2 has
it in white, with two large touch screens. One is prominently
set for the navigation and the other is obviously the control

The lighting is done with blue and part of the space between
the passenger seats is yellow, to match the exterior and bring
a smooth transition from outside to inside. One can’t help but
notice the elegant simplicity of the design. The engine
start-stop button is placed prominently besides the gauges.
There is a classic analog clock, right between the central air
vents. The steering wheel is also wrapped in the white leather
the rest of the car has.

Engine Specs

The engine of the Lexus LF-C2 2015, if I may, is a mystery.
Lexus has not yet released a press statement describing it. I
think the whole idea behind this it to keep the competition
guessing, however, since it spots a lot of similarities with
the RC 350; they might as well make the concept to be the RC’s
convertible twin.

Just as a by-the-way, the RC spots a 2.0 four cylinder engine
or a more powerful 3.5 V6 one with 306 horsepower and a hybrid
drivetrain consisting of a 2.5-liter inline-four and a 105-kW
electric motor making 217 horsepower. Both of this options come
with and 8-speed gearbox.

I will repeat myself and state that these are
speculations. For the most powerful engine is expected to
accelerate 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds, and top speed of 155 mph.

Price and release date

Currently the price was not disclosed, but it is assumed that
there will be about 45,000 US dollars. Start of sales
